What it is
Normal skin is a balanced skin type. It is neither noticeably oily nor dry, pores tend to be less visible and it rarely reacts to products. That does not mean it needs no care. Sun exposure, weather, stress and age can all shift how skin looks and feels over time, so a consistent routine helps keep it balanced. A simple routine works well. In the morning, use a gentle cleanser or micellar water, apply a lightweight serum if you like, moisturize and finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. In the evening, cleanse to remove sunscreen and makeup, then moisturize. Once your basics are in place, you can add targeted steps for goals such as brightness, texture or visible signs of aging, introducing one new product at a time. Key ingredients to look for include hyaluronic acid and glycerin for hydration, antioxidants such as vitamin C to support a radiant look, gentle enzymes or mild exfoliants used once or twice a week for smoother texture, and mineral or broad-spectrum sunscreen filters for daily protection. Choose textures by season: lighter lotions in warm months and richer creams when the air is dry.
